anyone else seen this movie yet?? Went and seen it tonight, and the movie was amazing...Tim Burton is a friggin genius, couldn't have picked a better one to helm this one. Deep Roy was awesome in the movie also, and Johnny Depp was brilliant. To me, ya couldnt compare the new to the old one, different storytelling, different movies to me, both hold their own individually, but definitely go check the new one out

I havent seen it yet, but I really dont like the "Micheal Jackson" look that Johnny Depp has in this movie. I like Johnny Depp, but I believe theres was a lot of better suited actors who could have pulled off the Willy Wonka role a lot better. Dont get me wrong, Depp IS a great actor. From what I have seen in the previews and clips, I dont like how he pulls of the role. Of course it has to be hard to live up to Gene Wilder, he did the best job you could imagine.
i was actually wondering to myelf the other day who else could have pulled off the role off Wonka, and in all honestly, in a Burton film, Depp was about the only one that i could see doing it. IMO, Depp is one of the best actors ever, the man has range...
wouldn't mind to see tim burton tackle another of Roald Dahl's books, the B.F.G, one of my favorites by Dahl, have always wanted to see it turned to a movie...

Sam Rockwell would have did a fantanic job IMO.
If you dont know who that is, he was Wild Bill in The Green Mile... thats where everyone seems to know him from. Though hes did a lot of other work, Matchstick Men and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, he was the president in that movie. He's got a lot of range.
ahhhh...rockwell could have done a good job in that role, but i guess since im such a huge Depp fan, i just can't see any one else doing it..
burton's got another animated comin out this september too, looks like another good one, the corpse bride...

Yeah, that looks very interesting!...Seen the previews not long ago when I watched Batman Begins I believe.
